The Fraunhofer Center Maryland (FC-MD) in collaboration with Abridge Technology,
invites you to attend the Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI SM) “Introduction to CMMI® Version 1.2”.

Objective:
This comprehensive 3-day course will provide you with detailed insights into, and a thorough understanding
of the Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI) Version 1.2. Insights into methods for successful
organizational process improvement are also provided.
This course is an SEI requirement for anyone intending to participate as a SCAMPI SM appraisal team member and is a
pre-requisite for a variety of other SEI classes, such as the Intermediate CMMI and the SCAMPI Lead Appraiser SM training.
Organizers:
Instructor: Dr. Richard Bechtold, president of Abridge Technology, is a process improvement consultant and has been
performing SEI-based assessments and appraisals since 1992. Dr. Bechtold is also an adjunct professor at George Mason
University, Virginia, and teaches graduate-level management and engineering courses. Abridge Technology is an SEI Partner.
Hosting organization: FC-MD is a not-for-profit affiliate of the University of Maryland’s Computer Science Department in College Park.
